Fix me
From JhuAcmWiki
For most issues, use our Trac.
Answer: Trac is rather heavyweight for our needs; a "issues / TODO list / FixMe" wiki page like this is appropriate for all but the most serious issues, where you want to be able to see who is assigned to fix them and whether they are still outstanding, etc.
But, please put dates on entries in this page!

Spam on Wiki
It looks as though the bots have found a way around the image verification, and they've started dumping crap all over the wiki. Something should be done about this.

New machines: Dual head
It "works" - I'm using Xnest. ("Quoting someone who is lying is....", warns Ra.)
- vesafb on one card, radeonfb on the other
- No more VGA nonsense.
- Between that, the Ubuntu X patches, and Ruby console, we "might" be okay.
- Solaris to be deployed after around Monday. (Update 2005-5-15 Solaris deployment will have to wait for VIA chipset southbridge drivers. May be possible to get it working anyway, but not going to happen before finals are over).
- Upgrade BIOS on eridani (showstopper)
- Fix hostnames (castor, pollux)
- Figure out what to do with all this hard drive space
- Have someone else stop Ctrl-Alt-Backspace. (I've failed at this enough.)
- Hook up speakers. Enable dmix? Set sound permissions.
- Try new X packages that are hacked to not pciIODisable. They're on tiresias on /mnt/scratch.

Other
- http://linuxconsole.sourceforge.net/ has a patch. It's for kernel 2.6.9. They do the same frustrating thing xbox-linux does.
- http://disjunkt.com/dualhead/ looks nice
- http://64.233.161.104/search?q=cache:0f37O5S6IJYJ:cs.senecac.on.ca/~ctyler/ruby/bruby.pdf ?
- an old way - http://cambuca.ldhs.cetuc.puc-rio.br/multiuser/
- Grumble.

New machines: Check that this works
- Front USB
- Front sound
- DVD burning, sound permissions
